Born in Haryana to a traditional Haryanvi
freedom fighter family & brought up in Delhi since childhood,
Vijay Goel was imprisoned for 3-months during Emergency along with
his father Shri Charti Lal Goel, a leading taxation lawyer, who was
jailed for 19-months before going on to become the Deputy Mayor and
Speaker of Delhi Assembly.
